What About Covid Precautions
We are working hard to keep our guests safe! We are by appointment only, to be sure we can keep capacity at safe levels and clean thoroughly between guests. We are asking that visitors and team members please follow these safety guidelines:
- UPDATE in compliance with Chicago's Phase 5 framework, we do not require masks. However, your jeweler will be happy to wear one at your request.- Use hand sanitizer before and after handling ring samples- Wait to be buzzed in, so we can ensure a safe number of people in the waiting area- We are limiting Saturday appointments to gropus of 2- Wash hands often and keep 6" distance from others whenever possible

Do I need an appointment?
Yes, we are by appointment only. Before you arrive, we'll bring in a selection of diamonds and gemstones just for you, so you get to see what fits your vision and budget. We have excellent relationships with dealers and will hunt to find you the best in quality, beauty and value.
Do you size rings?
It's always free to size rings purchased from Ethan Lord. Unlike some other jewelers, we do not ship our rings off for repairs, so we're quick, and your jewelry will not leave the building. Please make an appointment, and we'll size your finger and confirm that the ring is safe to alter. The process typically takes 48-72 hours.
We are not currently servicing rings not purchased from Ethan Lord.
Do you do appraisals?
No. We suggest working with an independent company for an unbiased appraisal. One we recommend is Chicago Gem Lab, and they are located in the same building.
Do you buy jewelry?
We do not. However, we’re happy to work together to custom-make something brand new that incorporates your old pieces. Contact us to get started.
Do you offer financing?
Yes! We work with Wells Fargo to to offer special financing for 12 months to qualified applicants with approved credit.
